Abstract. The author explores the transformation of contemporary society from a network model to platformized and new, AI-mediated sociality. It is argued that digitalization alters not only the methods of communication and the organization of social ties, but also the mechanisms of identity formation, social control, and power. The network logic, as conceptualized by Manuel Castells, is gradually complemented by platform logic, under which digital platforms serve as infrastructures for economic, political, and cultural interactions. The current development of generative artificial intelligence creates a new stage in this transformation, wherein digital systems do not merely structure information flows, but also participate in the production of knowledge, meanings, evaluations, and socially significant decisions. In this context, digital identity emerges as a dynamic and distributed phenomenon shaped by the interaction of human beings, networks, platforms, algorithms, and artificial intelligence systems.
