This study investigates the ethics, academic integrity, copyright, and data protection in the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process. It analyses the conceptual foundations and ethical imperatives of using artificial intelligence in education. Special attention is given to the digital transformation of the educational landscape requires a shift from systems of prohibitions and restrictions toward the implementation of managed and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies. Ensuring academic integrity and compliance with intellectual property laws relies on transparency in educational interactions, the preservation of the learner's agency, and the appropriate legal classification of AI-generated outputs.
