This text explores the digital divide as a profound socio-cultural and ethical consequence of global digitalization. It analyzes how unequal access to digital resources and varying levels of digital literacy contribute to new forms of social stratification and inequality. Utilizing social constructivist and co-evolutionary approaches from the philosophy of technology, the study demonstrates that technological artifacts are "frozen social relations" that can reinforce societal hierarchies. Furthermore, it addresses the anthropological and ethical challenges of the digital era, such as surveillance capitalism and the loss of autonomy, advocating for an ethical imperative of responsibility to foster a more inclusive technological future.
