Анотація


The article presents the results of experimental studies of the impact of long-term operation (over 20 years) on the load-bearing capacity of freight cars. It has been established that the degradation of 09G2S steel manifests itself in a critical decrease in impact toughness (to 7–40 J/cm² at -40°C) while maintaining standard strength indicators.A finite element model has been developed and verified by field tests with an error of up to 10%. The need to adjust the standard reserve coefficients for wagons with an extended service life has been substantiated.
