У роботі розглянуто філософські аспекти становлення віртуальної реальності як нового онтологічного простору сучасної людини. Проаналізовано ключові ризики розмивання межі між фізичним та цифровим буттям, а також трансформацію сприйняття реальності під впливом імерсивних технологій. Розглянуто теоретичні засади визначення статусу віртуальних об’єктів та їхній вплив на когнітивні процеси особистості. Надано рекомендації щодо філософського осмислення взаємодії людини з цифровими середовищами в умовах глобальної цифровізації.

Ontological status of virtual reality: the boundary between illusion and being

Abstract

The paper examines the philosophical aspects of the emergence of virtual reality as a new ontological space for modern individuals. The key risks of blurring the boundaries between physical and digital existence, as well as the transformation of reality perception under the influence of immersive technologies, are analyzed. The theoretical foundations for determining the status of virtual objects and their impact on the cognitive processes of the personality are considered. Recommendations for the philosophical reflection on human interaction with digital environments in the context of global digitalization are provided.
